How to Use OA Tutors

Add your year group, subjects and learning goals so tutors can support you effectively. You can update this any time from your profile.

Browse and match with tutors that fit your subjects and level. You can view a tutor before booking.

Pick a subject, date, time and duration. If you are not sure who to book, you can let OA Tutors assign a tutor for you and we will confirm shortly.

When it is time for your lesson, open your dashboard and use "Request to Join Virtual Classroom". Your tutor and the OA Tutors team are notified and will admit you.

After each session your tutor posts feedback and progress notes. Review them on your progress page to see how you are doing.

Create an account for each child from the Manage Children page. Each child gets their own secure login.

Book on behalf of any of your children. Choose a tutor, or let OA Tutors assign one for you. Confirmation emails go to you and your child.

If a tutor proposes a session, you will be emailed to confirm it. Sessions only go ahead once you approve them from your dashboard. A daily reminder is sent until you respond.

See all your children's upcoming and past sessions, tutor feedback and progress updates in one place on your dashboard.

Keep your subjects, qualifications and availability up to date so you are matched with the right students.

Your dashboard shows upcoming and past sessions. Use My Students and the calendar to plan ahead.

Suggest a session for a student you already teach. It stays pending until the parent (or the student, if there is no parent) confirms it.

After a lesson, add the joining link, notes and feedback. Students and parents are notified automatically.
